I wrote this novella, A Connecticut Golfer on King Arthur’s Course, for people who have all the following interests:

  1. Interested in golf history.
  2. Interested in St. Andrews golf links in Scotland.
  3. Interested in Arthurian legends.
  4. Interested in Mark Twain’s book, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court.
  5. Interested in the Bing Crosby movie based on Twain’s book.

In other words, it probably has an audience of one. Me. I had to write it, nevertheless, if for no other reason than to shake the idea and be free of it. Although I’ve tried, I can’t quite talk myself into the delusion that anyone might publish such a thing as this, so here it is for all the golf/Arthurian nerds who might stumble upon it. I hope you enjoy the “Easter Eggs.” Comments are open if you think I got something wrong on the golf side, or the Arthurian side for that matter (or any of the Wales bits).

p.s. Why are all the chapters dated September 19, 1922? Two reasons: 1) I’m using a blog template and removing the date from a blog template in WordPress is beyond my skill set; and 2) You can find reason #2 in Chapter 2.
